Presented by San Clemente Catholic College Shakespeare meets teenage drama in this fast-paced comedy jukebox musical. When a group of teenagers suddenly find themselves thrown into the world of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, they are forced to take on the famous story for themselves. But with old rivalries, complicated friendships and unresolved feelings bubbling beneath the surface, following Shakespeare’s script is easier said than done. To make it home, they’ll have to navigate young love, friendship and each other, all while dealing with a rather unpredictable William Shakespeare. Featuring a soundtrack of well-known songs, plenty of teenage chaos and a fresh take on the world’s most famous love story, Romeo Sucks brings Shakespeare crashing into the modern teenage world. Featuring a cast of students from Years 7–11 at San Clemente Catholic College, Romeo Sucks is an original work written by San Clemente student Iyla Chandler.
