* When the CONDAs celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2003, 71 productions were eligible.

* The 2003 City of Newcastle Drama Awards (CONDAs), held at the Civic Theatre on Friday, February 6, 2004, celebrated their silver anniversary.

* The 2003 awards ceremony also marked the return of the CONDAs to the Civic Theatre after four years of being staged at ClubNova (now Newcastle Panthers). This followed the support of Civic Theatre management in reducing the costs of the venue.
